What We Do
From “I can’t,” “I can’t” to “I’ll try,” “Maybe I can,” to finally “I can.” Sankalp takes drug users on this long and courageous journey by understanding that the first priority is the reduction of harm, or negative consequences of drug use, rather than eliminating drug use all at once. Through outreach and education, needle and syringe exchange, drug substitution, detoxification camps, personal counseling and continuous care, Sankalp helps overcome dependency on drugs in a systematic and empathetic way while preventing the spread of illnesses like HIV and Hepatitis C.
